Don Tracia
Instructional Designer & Video Producer
Don is an instructional designer, technologist, and video producer. He works with subject matter experts to assess learner needs, develops learning objectives, creates course materials, activities, and assessments. He produces and edits video for engaging digital learning modules. At Design for People, he creates instructional videos for the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center and for the Trinity Leadership Fellows and Mission Real Estate Development programs for Trinity Church Wall Street.
Don brings over 20 years of experience in developing and online, hybrid, and virtual instructor-led training (VILT) learning solutions, and leading training workshops. He has worked with virtual reality, video/audio, and television. He has expert knowledge of adult learning theories and a variety of teaching and learning methodologies. He has experience and formal education in Instructional Systems Design.
Don has developed e-Learning solutions for clients including Harvard University, Smithsonian Institution, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Fire Protection and Safety Certification, and more. Don served as Instructional Designer and Trainer at Blackboard and has significant experience in higher education. Don has a B.S. in Visual Communication and a M.Ed. in Instructional Psychology and Technology from the University of Oklahoma. He has additional graduate coursework and multimedia certifications from the New England Institute of Art. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and skiing the slopes of New Hampshire.
