Many Hands, Together We Make a Difference

Grants by Women for Local Charities

Many Hands is a local women’s grantmaking organization. By leveraging the power of collective giving, they multiply the impact of members’ gifts. Many Hands members become well-informed donors by participating in our grant review process and educational events. By working with a diverse group of passionate, dedicated women, they receive a unique education in local needs and nonprofit strategies and become more engaged members of our community.

We refreshed their brand to reflect their growing membership of diverse women and help increase membership. Using our empathic design approach, we created visual moodboards that capture the emotional feeling of the brand essence. From there, we created the logo marque and type treatment. We created social media profile and printed collateral. We also created a new website on WordPress with their new brand and messaging. We were so inspired by Many Hands after the project, Erin, our founder joined their membership.

“After 15 years, Many Hands was looking for a visual identity that would reflect and support our growth as a grantmaker. Erin and her team delivered a new logo and website that showcase the strength and forward-looking nature of our organization while honoring our past. Working with them was a terrific experience.”

Education for Girls and Boys in Tanzania

Tanzania Education Fund (TEF) supports the Margery Wolf Kuhn Primary and Secondary Schools in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. The schools provide a well-rounded education (preschool, primary, and secondary) and housing for students and teachers. The TEF scholarship program sponsors girls who otherwise would not have education – instead staying home for housework or marriage. The schools have made a tremendous positive impact in their local community and is lauded for the success of their students.

We redesigned the TEF website and the new MWK Schools website and logo. The websites showcase photos that reflect the positive energy and vibrancy of the students, volunteers, staff, and school grounds. The new website shows donors how their support has made a tremendous difference in the lives and community of Bagamoyo and demonstrate to new donors what their support can bring.

“Design for People captured the spirit, excellence and community of Nianjema Schools, sponsored by Tanzania Education Fund, Inc.  We greatly appreciate their re-design, which produced higher traffic, increased donations, and interest in helping others of the world.”
