US Department of Agriculture and The George Washington University
Planet Forward is a project of The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs Center for Innovative Media led by Frank Sesno. Planet Forward engages young people and innovators in search of solutions to the biggest challenges facing our planet. Through storytelling, media and convening, we empower new voices and elevate compelling ideas.
Educating people about the effects of climate change is not easy. There are many scientific facts that are too complicated or abstract. They need to be conveyed in a meaningful way to the audience so they’re understood.
We collaborated with Planet Forward and USDA to design four infographics illustrating the data showing how climate change and carbon dioxide are affecting agriculture, our water supply and our ability to produce food in the future. We paired only the most pertinent facts, compelling storytelling and graphics to engage the audience.
